Today’s Lesson: Ambition of James and John
Scripture: Matthew 20:20-28, Mark 10:35-45

Description:
The Jews used the term “Gentiles” to refer to anyone who was not racially a Jew. It expressed the idea that they were pagans, since they usually did not worship the God of Israel. The Lord warns His disciples against having leadership aspirations, as the gentiles do. God’s method is to take those who are humble and make themselves small by serving, and to place them as the leaders for He says, “whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister.
