Today’s Lesson: Parable: The Laborers of the Eleventh hour
Scripture: Matthew 20:1-16

Description:
Heavenly standards and earthly standards are so utterly different that many of the earth’s humblest Christians will have the highest places in heaven; and many of the churches great dignitaries will be under those who are the humblest believers.

What the Bible Says About the Three Stages of Man

Today’s Devotion: What the Bible Says About the Three Stages of Man
Scripture Reading: Romans 7.1-18

Description:
Our Lord didn’t ask for the tempting by Satan, but God ordained it, because it would be proof that He was who He said He was. Satan may have thought that he was forcing the issue and that he was the one in charge, but the power and authority of Christ would prevail, just like it did in the Garden of Gethsemane and every time He freed a man from demon-possession.

The Corinthians and Their Apostles,

The Corinthians and Their Apostles,

Free Bible Study: Paul’s First Epistle to the Corinthians

Today’s Lesson: The Corinthians and Their Apostles
 Scripture: 1 Corinthians 4.5-4.13

Description:
before the time—God, the righteous Judge, will determine everything at the time appointed for judging all men; therefore judge nothing before that time.  It is as if Paul were saying, "You Corinthians act like judges at athletic events, qualified to give some the trophy and to send others away as losers. But Jesus is the only judge, and you are judging before the events are over." Note: Jesus is the One who will judge. If we sit in judgment on someone else, we are taking the Lord’s place. This is why we should not react to insults or criticism by fighting back. God will judge us fairly, and He knows all the facts. (Anyway, we probably know worse things about ourselves than the person who is criticizing us does!)

The Period Of The Judges, The Direction God Gave Gideon for the Modeling of the Army, Judges 7.1-7.8

Free Bible Study: The History of Israel Under the Judges

Today’s Lesson: The Direction God Gave Gideon for the Modeling of the Army
Scripture: Judges 7.1-7.8

Description:
Imagine 32,000 Israelites facing 135,000 Midianites—“Now Zebah and Zalmunna were in Karkor, and their hosts with them, about fifteen thousand men, all that were left of all the hosts of the children of the east: for there fell an hundred and twenty thousand men that drew sword.” (Judges 8:10; KJV); but it was the kind of situation that the Lord uses to glorify His name. When God is on your side, the size of the enemy is of no great concern, so keep your eyes on Him.

The really dangerous enemies were within the hearts of Gideon’s soldiers. Fear was one of them (vv. 1–3), and he sent 22,000 men home.

Today’s Lesson: HIS LAW CANNOT MAKE HIM RIGHTEOUS
Scripture: Romans 2:17-24

Description:
The implication in this verse is that one might be called a Jew and yet not BE a Jew. (I can say that today one might be called a Christian and not be a true Christian). Paul is proving that the so-called Jew is just as helpless a sinner as the Gentile, in spite of all his Jewish boasting.

Scripture: (Exodus 20:1-17) Matthew 19:16-30, Mark 10:17-31, Luke 18:18-30

Description:
Jesus added, “if thou wilt enter into life,” and that implies that the young man was still on the outside of such a life; he was lost. The idea is this, if you want to gain eternal life, you must first of all enter it! And how do you do that; it’s very simple, by receiving Jesus as your Savior.

Servants of Christ and Their Work, Servants of Christ and Their Work

Servants of Christ and Their Work, Servants of Christ and Their Work

Free Bible Study: Paul’s First Epistle to the Corinthians

Today’s Lesson: Servants of Christ and Their Work
 Scripture: 1 Corinthians 4.1-4.4

Description:
Many Corinthian believers were rejecting both Paul’s teaching and his authority. Paul reasserted his authority over them, all the while emphasizing his role as “servant” and “steward” of the mysteries of God—the truths of the gospel. A “steward” (Gk. oikonomos) is the servant who is entrusted with the administration of his master’s business or property. Life, itself is a stewardship, so be faithful (vv. 1–5). We judge ourselves, and others judge us; but the Final Judge is the Lord. Live to please Him alone.

The Period Of The Judges,Gideon Asks For Signs, Judges 6:37-40

Free Bible Study: The History of Israel Under the Judges

Today’s Lesson: Gideon Asks for Signs
Scripture: Judges 6:37-40

Description:
37 I'll place some wool on the threshing floor. If there is dew on the wool while all the ground is dry, then I'll know that you will rescue Israel through me, as you said.”--Judges 6.37 (GW)

On the eve of a perilous enterprise, he sought to fortify his mind with a fresh assurance of a divine call to lead the Jewish nation in battle against a far superior opponent. The miracle of the fleece was a very remarkable one -- especially, considering the abundant dews that fall in his country.

Today’s Lesson: Revelation of the Sin of Good People
Scripture: Romans 2:1-16

Description:
For you who judge practice the same things. It is obvious that the moral man was not involved in the sexual deviations of the heathen or else Paul could not call him a moral man. But he was inwardly living in an identical manner as the heathen was living outwardly. Perhaps the moral man did not commit adultery, but did he lust? Our Lord put them in the same category: “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart” (Mt 5:27–28).

Today’s Lesson: Jesus Blesses Children; Raises Objections
Scripture: (Ps. 131:12) Matthew 19:13-15, Mark 10:13-16, Luke 18:15-17

Description:
It was customary in Jesus’ day for children to be brought to rabbis and elders for their blessing, and on this occasion some brought young children for Jesus to touch and bless.

The disciples appeared to be rude and inconsiderate, especially in the light of Jesus’ recent teaching, given in Matthew 18:2–6.

Today’s Devotion: What the Bible Says About Death
Scripture Reading: Revelation 21:1-4

Description:
The fact that there are so many DIFFERENT THEORIES about what happens to our souls when we die indicates our desire to understand the phenomenon of death.  We hear and use such expressions as “THE OTHER LIFE,” “LIFE IN THE NEXT WORLD,” “LIFE AFTER DEATH,” and “LIFE ON THE OTHER SIDE.”  But does the BIBLE SPEAK conclusively about this question?  YES it does!  And the scriptural answer provides ABIDING HOPE for Christians, particularly as we deal with the death of a loved one or prepare to face death ourselves.
